Hi loves,
Welcome to my new and improved Daily Deviation Guidelines! I decided it was time to give my guidelines a good overhaul because hey let's face it... they were super long. I just imagine you all read my previous guidelines and reacted something like this:

Thus, this time around we are going to keep it simple and to the point! So without further ado let's get down to business! I am a dummy!

Daily Deviations

Many times I am asked what a Daily Deviation (DD) is and what the purpose of Daily Deviations are. For those less familiar with Daily Deviations please review the following FAQ's links:

Galleries Overseen

I can ONLY take Daily Deviation suggestions from the following galleries:

Please ensure you are suggesting to the appropriate Community Volunteer (FAQ #18: Who selects Daily Deviations and how are they chosen?). If after reviewing the list of Community Volunteers and their Galleries you are still unsure of where to suggest something, feel free to send me a note. I am more than happy to help you get your suggestion to the right Community Volunteer.

How to Suggest

I have compiled an overview of everything you need to know to suggest a Daily Deviation to me. Please take a moment to review these guidelines as they have been updated:
  • The artist must NOT have received a Daily Deviation within the last 6 months. (FAQ #313: How can I find out if someone already has a Daily Deviation?)
  • Please send your suggestion to only ONE Community Volunteer at a time.
  • Please only include ONE artist per suggestion note; more than one thumbnail may be included.
  • Please let me know if you wish to remain anonymous as a suggester or not. If you do not specify, I will assume you want to be listed as the suggester.
  • I will never disclose whether a piece was chosen to receive a Daily Deviation, so please do not ask me if your suggestion was selected! However, if the piece you suggested to me has not received a Daily Deviation from me within a month since you suggested it, feel free to re-suggest it to another Community Volunteer.
  • I will not feature suggestions that are currently being judged in any contests.
  • DO suggest yourself for a Daily Deviation! I encourage self-suggesting!
  • Please use THUMBNAILS (:thumbxxxxx:) instead of links when suggesting.
  • Please put in the subject of your suggestion: DD Suggestion
  • DO include a brief description of why you think the piece should be featured. I want to hear from you why the piece deserves a Daily Deviation.

FAQs

Below I have put together a short list of FAQs to better serve my suggesters:
  • How long must I wait before re-suggesting a piece to another Community Volunteer? We ask you wait 30 days between re-suggesting so it allows the original volunteer time to review your suggestion.
  • What if I send you a suggestion, but it is in a gallery you do not oversee by mistake? I will forward the suggestion to the correct volunteer for you so that your suggestion is seen by the correct person.
  • Do you give Daily Deviations to artists who are no longer active on the site? No, the artist must be active to be considered for a Daily Deviation.
  • May I suggest an overly popular artist to be featured? Absolutely! There are no rules against featuring popular artists. You are free to suggest whomever, whenever you want to me. However, just make sure they meet the above guidelines that I mentioned.
If you still have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me! Simply leave a comment on this journal and I will answer you as soon as possible.

Dislike my Guidelines?

If you reviewed my guidelines and felt like you do not like them and would prefer to take your Daily Deviation suggestion elsewhere, no problem! You can send your Digital Art Daily Deviation Suggestions to one of the following:

Thank you everyone and I look forward to seeing your suggestions!
